We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! It's been SUPER busy the past month, so here's a quick recap:
🌈 We saw a gorgeous rainbow! Right over our soft play rainbow!
❤️ We helped SO many babies round out head shape and release orofacial & body tension to experience better feedings
❤️ We helped some amazing toddlers and preschool aged kiddos to move with more stability and fall less often
❤️ Our client age range over the past 2 months was a fun one- 4 days to 6 years! LOTS of littles!!

Your patience with scheduling has been VERY appreciated. Dr. Aleta is still working overtime on making sure everyone gets seen in a timely manner! Thank you for your support 😊

Toe walking!
It's complicated.

Every toe walker is different in terms of why they do it, and what they need to treat it.

Treating toe walking requires a *commitment* to home exercises attending PT sessions (frequency can vary, we work with you to determine what fits for your family!)

We've been quiet, but we're still here! 😊

Dr. Aleta prioritizes family time over social media when working part-time in the summer. Working mom life is always about finding balance!

Bring over the babies, the toe walkers, the bigger kids who need some support- we're so ready for fun, learning, and gross motor skills!!

Just FYI- the schedule is still limited. Dr. Aleta is still looking to hire help, but finding part-time help is VERY difficult. If anyone knows a pediatric PT or PTA interested in part time clinic and/or school hours, PLEASE reach out!!

"bodywork" is an umbrella term that encompasses a lot of very skilled services in the PT world.
❤️ Neuromuscular re-education: re training neural pathways for more optimal movement patterns (baby learned to move and suck in utero, if these patterns need to be re-trained, that takes skill and time!)
🧡 Soft tissue mobilization: releasing tension/tightness literally from head to toe to improve feeding, movement, etc.. from craniosacral to TMR and more
❤️ Strengthening: also from head to toe, SUPER important for making functional changes!!! (and no, it's not just about "more tummy time"!!)
🧡 Caregiver education: MOST important - we empower YOU to help your baby!!!

The short story: the setup for working on sitting.

The long story: using a combination of craniosacral therapy and visual-motor integration as well as integrating reflexes to gain improved sitting balance and floor mobility.

The good part? Baby just thinks it's play!!!

The best part? The parents receive exercises to do daily to continue working on retaining and advancing upon the gains made during therapy!

🎉 Primarily school-based hours in eastern CT, but also some outpatient in Glastonbury as well (if you want >9 hrs)
🎉 Schedule will be mostly based on the school year, fewer hours in the summer.

As of the last week in March, we will be in Glastonbury at 703 Hebron Ave (next to Smart Start Pediatrics).
Why?
We have outgrown our space in Manchester, and Dr. Aleta has been dreaming of a nice open space, both to continue to see babies and to expand on service opportunities for older kids.. we found the right fit! We can't wait for you to see it!
