The orange bows that you see hanging on the poles in Newland, were place there by Yellow Mountain Enterprises for developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (March 2026) which promotes inclusion, independence, and awareness. The theme is “We're Here. Then, Now, Always.” emphasizing the enduring, valuable contributions of people with developmental disabilities in community life. The official color for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM) in March is orange. This bright color symbolizes energy, positivity, and support for people with developmental disabilities. Wearing orange is a common way to show solidarity, spread awareness, and promote inclusion during the month
