📸 Visuals Speak Louder Than Words! 🧩🗣️
Did you know that PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) doesn’t just help children with autism communicate—it also supports the development of spoken language and expands mean length of utterance (MLU)?

✅ PECS offers visual structure that helps children understand how to build phrases—like “I want juice” or “I see dog.”
✅ By exchanging pictures in a set order, kids learn the rhythm and structure of language—even before they speak it.
✅ As confidence grows, so does language! We often see children move from one-word requests to full 4-5 word phrases over time.

💬 Many children begin to verbalize naturally as they become more familiar with PECS and its patterns.
