Dear Community Members,
I hope you're doing well!
I wanted to reach out with a heartfelt request for your support. The Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCA-GA) is currently accepting nominations for their annual awards, and I would be incredibly honored if you would consider nominating me for one of them. The deadline for nominations is March 1st.
Over the past 17 years, I’ve dedicated my career to mental health advocacy, community engagement, and clinician education—often providing services and speaking engagements at no cost because I truly believe in the work. I’ve received Distinguished Service Awards and Community Member Advocate Awards, and I continue striving to break mental health stigmas, empower communities, and equip fellow clinicians with innovative tools for success.
Why I’d Love Your Support:
💡 Mental Health Advocacy & Public Speaking – I’ve led numerous free speaking engagements to spread awareness, break barriers, and make mental health resources accessible to all.
💡 Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor – I mentor and supervise clinicians, shaping the next generation of mental health professionals.
💡 Continuing Education & Innovative Training – I provide trainings to help clinicians earn CE credits, developing new approaches to therapy that enhance our field.
💡 Su***de Risk & Prevention – I’m an official trainer for the Assessing and Managing Su***de Risk Institute, equipping therapists with critical life-saving intervention tools.
💡 Passion for Community Impact – Everything I do is with the intention of creating real, lasting change for individuals, families, and fellow professionals.
Award Categories for Nomination:
🏆 George C. Podein Counselor of the Year – Recognizing outstanding contributions to counseling and advocacy in Georgia.
🏆 Counselor Educator of the Year (CEOY) – Honoring educators who have significantly impacted the growth and development of future clinicians.
🏆 John C. Burns III Lifetime Achievement Award – Recognizing a leader in the field who has promoted and advanced the counseling profession over their career.
