Come meet the man turning miles into a message. 💚

TOMORROW, May 1st, Josh begins an incredible journey for Mental Health Awareness Month, running 3️⃣1️⃣ marathons in 3️⃣1️⃣ days to spread hope, healing, and connection.

He’ll be finishing his first marathon right here at Coweta FORCE tomorrow at 4:30 PM, and we want our community to show up strong.

We’ll have posters and markers at the office, so feel free to stop by early and make a sign to cheer him on!

This isn’t just about running, it’s about reminding people they’re not alone. It’s about starting conversations, breaking stigma, and supporting one another before it’s too late.

Come out to welcome Josh, walk alongside him, or simply show your support. Be part of something bigger than a finish line.

💚 Because this isn’t just a run… it’s a movement.

Lee Middle School recently hosted a Town Hall Meeting on Underage Drinking, bringing together community leaders for an important conversation with students.

Panelists shared insight, experience, and real-world perspective on the impact of underage drinking:

• Al Smith, Coweta County Commissioner & Pastor
• Sgt. Ty Thompson, Coweta County Sheriff's Office (Georgia)
• JJ Durrough, Assistant Director, Coweta FORCE

We’re proud to have JJ represent Coweta FORCE in this meaningful discussion. Conversations like these help equip our youth with the knowledge and support they need to make healthy choices.

Thank you to Lee Middle School for creating space for open, honest dialogue. 💚

We recently began attending a leadership development training series, The Plunge, facilitated by the outstanding Wayne Hauenstein of Learning Curve Consultants. This three-part series is designed to strengthen leadership skills through a focus on self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and practical strategies for leading within RCOs and Addiction Recovery Support Centers.

A big thank you to the Georgia Council for Recovery for putting this together and creating such a meaningful space for growth and connection.

It was a fantastic first session, and we’re already looking forward to continuing this work together next month. Proud of Billie and Jen for representing and being part of this important experience!

Happy Fri-yay! 🙌

We had a great time attending the ARSC/RCO Network Learning Collaborative this week at Dad’s Garage in Atlanta! It was an incredible day of connection, collaboration, and growth with peers across the recovery community.

The interactive improv workshop, Thriving in the Space of Change, gave us fresh perspectives on adaptability, communication, and leadership, skills that are essential in the work we do every day.

A big thank you to the Georgia Council for Recovery for hosting such a meaningful and engaging event, we appreciate the opportunity to be part of this important work! 💙

Grateful for the chance to learn, laugh, and strengthen partnerships that help us better serve our communities.

What an incredible time at the Break Every Chain event in downtown LaGrange! 💙

This powerful recovery event brought the community together through testimony, music, dance, and performances, creating a space full of hope, healing, and connection.

We’re especially proud of our very own Lauren, who shared her testimony. Her courage and willingness to speak truth into the lives of others is truly inspiring.

Moments like these remind us how strong and vibrant the recovery community is. We’re grateful to have been part of it!

Backstreet Arts continues to create meaningful opportunities for connection and creativity through their workshops, offering a welcoming space where individuals can engage in art and community. 🎨

We’re grateful for partners like Backstreet Arts who make experiences like this accessible and impactful.

Holli from The Burch House recently attended one of their workshops, where she learned to sew a beach bag, what a great way to build skills, confidence, and connection in recovery! 💙

Amanda and Sam have completed the first of two 24-hour Georgia Association of Recovery Residences (GARR) Recovery Residence Associate (RRA) trainings! 🎉

An RRA (Recovery Residence Associate) is trained to support safe, structured, and ethical recovery housing, helping ensure residents have a stable environment to grow in their recovery journey. This is a huge step in strengthening the quality of care at The Burch House.

They’re one step closer to becoming fully certified, just one more training to go! 🤓
We’re proud of their dedication to learning and to serving our recovery community well. 💙

Peer support is making a real impact, and Coweta County is part of the story.

A new national SAMHSA advisory highlights how peer recovery support is changing lives in rural communities, and even features Coweta FORCE on page 16 as a model for how this work can grow and thrive.

We’re grateful for leaders like the Georgia Council for Recovery and the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network , who have helped build the foundation for peer support across our state.

Through listening sessions, community conversations, and peer-led support, recovery is becoming more visible, more accessible, and more powerful right here at home.

We’re proud to be part of a movement that proves recovery is possible, and happening every day.
