Myofascial release of the upper traps will help with neck pain from holding a forward neck and forward shoulder posture. Besides it feels amazing even though it “hurts so good 😂”.

Self myofascial release of sub occipital muscles is so important for neck pain and mobility. It also helps headaches and thoracic spine mobility.

In the world of mind-body forms of exercise, there is a bit of a divide: PILATES aficionados and yoga devotees. “Which one is better?” people often ask me. Generally speaking, both workouts do many of the same things, yet pilates students will swear by PILATES and yoga students are adamant about yoga. While yoga and Pilates embrace a lot of the same principles, read my blog (link in bio) .trovati to learn more about the notable differences. Plus, we’ll share a few tips on how to decide which one may be better for you.

Tiziana’s Journey

From her beginnings as a dancer in Milan, Italy, Tiziana Trovati knew that her greatest strength was her body. Dancing was rewarding but also very hard on her body and to continue she needed to find a way to nurture and restore her body. She moved to New York City in the early ‘90s and her journey lead her to study under Romana Kryzanowska, one of Joseph Pilates heir-apparent.

Tiziana had a one-on-one mentorship with Romana and in 1998 Tiziana became a certified Authentic Pilates teacher. She was featured in Romana’s first sets of videos and was one of the first guest teachers to part take in Pilatesology, a classical Pilates video site. She opened her own studio in Orange County, California, that grew into a wellness practice, including multiple instructors, licensed physical therapists, and massage therapists. Tiziana is a purist when it comes to Pilates and now travels around the world as a Pilates Master Teacher of the classical foundation that Joseph Pilates taught his first pupils.

This growth and traveling lead Tiziana to continue her journey of helping others and their bodies. She found the fluidity and biomechanics of yoga to be restorative to the core and alignment. It is a perfect complement to her beloved Pilates. She enjoys learning about and nurturing the body, and this led her to become certified in Trigger Point Therapy and a licensed massage practitioner. She has also studied some physical therapy. This allows her to work with the individual to find out what type of instruction or treatment they might need to help them restore their bodies.

When she is not traveling, teaching, or working one-on-one with a client, Tiziana enjoys practicing yoga and pilates, creating delicious, organic meals and walking on the beach with Kona, her adorable Bernedoodle.
