Vania Djavid LMFT

Vania Djavid LMFT I want to wish you a warm welcome as you begin your therapy journey at Bodhi Healing.

Vania integrates aspects of existential, emotion regulation, harm reduction, and mindfulness-based therapies in order to help her clients build a robust sense of agency by expanding awareness and ownership of their emotions and desires. As this can only occur in the context of a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, Vania strives to create a space where clients can rediscover a sense of curiosity and authenticity for their personal experience, and explore how this manifests in the here-and-now of therapy. She encourages her clients to gain insight and awareness into maladaptive patterns of being and relating in the world that often perpetuate suffering and contribute to lack of fulfillment and joy. She works with clients to discover how nonsensical symptoms make sense, and how suffering points them in the direction of growth.

This is the case with most issues you bring to Therapy the issue itself will not necessarily relate directly to your childhood, but how are you engaged with emotionally and relationally will.

The therapeutic implications of treating PTSD as a whole-body condition are significant, as targeting any underlying biological system whose activity is altered in both PTSD and metabolic disorders, may elicit symptomatic relief in individuals suffering from these whole-body adverse outcomes.
