Embryo grading is a way embryologists describe an embryo’s development stage and quality - helping your care team decide which embryos have the best chance for implantation.

🔢 The number = the stage of development (blastocyst expansion).
🔤 The first letter = quality of the inner cell mass (future baby).
🔤 The second letter = quality of the trophectoderm cells (future placenta).
