Having a medspa at your office has its perks. I do a pretty good job at taking care of my skin for a man, BUT I am absolutely guilty of not prioritizing my skincare as much as I should.
So, before we went on break for Thanksgiving, I decided it was the perfect time to get a chemical peel. After months of long days riding my bike outside and a lot of time in the sun, even with sunscreen, that's a lot of wear and tear on your skin.
The chemical peel that I am getting in this video is called The Perfect Peel. This is the ONLY medium-depth, medical-grade chemical peel that contains Glutathione. Glutathione is a naturally occurring antioxidant that helps defend against visible signs of environmental damage. Like collagen, glutathione levels in the body decline gradually as we age, which is believed to contribute to the external signs of aging. The addition of Glutathione to the Perfect Peel provides an extra boost to restore the skinโs surface and brighten a dull complexion.
The Perfect Peel addresses sun damage, fine lines, texture, and acne.
Most importantly, it is safe and effective for all skin types, including mine. Those with a darker complexion, like myself, have to be careful about which treatments we get because some, such as CO2 laser resurfacing, can trigger complications, such as hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.
I like to get a chemical peel once or twice a year. Keep in mind that not all peels are made equal; some are much stronger than others. After receiving the perfect peel, my skin was red, and I was peeling for about a week or so.
