As a physician, I believe nutrition is always part of the conversation. But when I sit across from a woman in midlife, I know this story is rarely just about food.
Hormones are changing.
Sleep is changing.
Stress is changing.
The body is changing.
Food often becomes the thing women try to control because everything else feels like it’s changing.
The question we need to start asking is: What is her body trying to communicate? And what underlying imbalance is driving the behavior?
