Don’t think you’ll stop cooking when you move to Atria Newport Beach. Memory Care residents had a great time with our non-bake mini cinnamon rolls. 🍩🥛 They were easy to make, plus it smelled absolutely delicious in the dining room. Very tastyyyyy. 😋

Atria Newport Beach wouldn’t be the same without the love and care that Sandra brings to her job. Residents are constantly singing her praises, and it’s easy to see why.

Running an amazing bistro. It’s always fully stocked and the residents, staff and family members enjoy stopping by for your coffee or a smoothie you make from fresh fruit.

Gardens & Goats ~ 🌿🐐

I can't decide if the residents or the staff
enjoyed our ice cream social more! As the goats wandered around the gardens, I enjoyed listening to their tales of owning a goat as children. Our housekeeping supervisor, Eva claimed that her sister's goat resembled Chip. A resident mentioned that they had goats, guinea pigs, and even raccoons on her small farm. Engage Life Director, Lyn remembered having goats on her farm when she was younger and had to care for them.

They had the best time at the game, and the fact that we won made it even more enjoyable! Already requesting the next game to to go!

Getting our residents Atria water bottles is a great way to get them to drink more water. 💦🥤We were able to add their stickers to the first fitness class this morning. In August, we also will start giving prizes to the ones who brought their bottles most to class. Hoping they start using them more.
When you see them using them in the community, cheer them on and give them a high-five! ✨🙌🏼

The summer season~ 🧺🥪🐿️
We fool ourselves into thinking we outgrow park picnics. We lose touch with our carefree selves and the joy we once felt. Residents of Atria Newport Beach's memory care and assisted living facilities would strongly disagree with that. At the park, every resident and their friends—including a squirrel—shared precious moments. Always hold on to your inner child and discover new things.
Give us an example of a park picnic you had with your family and friends. We can’t wait to hear from you. 🌻

“When my mother could no longer take care of herself safely, our family faced a difficult process of finding a place for her that would be like home, where she would have friends and be safe. It worked out very well,” shares one family member. “The Atria personnel are kind and respectful and engage her in activities. Also, as a family, we are welcomed there. Atria is a wonderful place for my mother and for us.”

Step inside and you could smell the aroma from our Chef Showdown! The taste testers agree that Mary our chef deserved to take home the trophy for best recipe! 🧑‍🍳🏆

They each made an entree dish using the following mystery items along side normally used seasonal vegetables and ingredients.
Cherries, Summer squash
Squash blossoms,Prosciutto
and fresh diver scallops

What a wonderful culinary celebration. Thanks to our chefs Mary and Esteban and panelists, Jerry M. President of Atria resident council, Dr. Gates Atria Ambassador, Shelly R. Atria resident council secretary, Alan R. Atria’s newest resident and the famous Adan who has been with Atria for 43 years!
Plus a huge thank you Sarah A. ELPI who MC’d the whole event.

🇺🇸🗽⭐️On the Fourth of July, there was a lot of activity going on at Atria Newport Beach. We reminisced about eating Firecracker popsicles, played games with our family and staff, and made creative crafts that were patriotic in nature. Following the arrival of evening, we savor a delicious meal while listening to music performed by one of our most beloved brass bands. Finally, the most exciting part: FIRWORKS!
They came together on the Avalon Terrace to take in the community show that was being put on! 🎆🧨🎇
