1. Inspect feet daily, including the bottoms for cuts, blisters, redness, swelling or nail problems
2. Regulary moisturize your feet to avoid itching and cracking
3. Get periodic foot examinations at Newport Family Podiatry. We can reduce your risk of amputation by up to 85%

Diabetic Foot Care Don'ts
1. Never use heating pads, hot water bottles or electric blankets.
2. Don't go barefoot
3. Do not try to remove corns or callouses
