To be plastic means being easily shaped or molded, so to me, plastic surgery is surgery that is fluid and creative. My specialty is taking what I’m given combined with my patient’s needs and wants to build a result that is functional, natural, and beautiful. It is work that is challenging, stimulating, and fun. After each case, I ask myself, “What can I do differently next time; what can I do better?”, because at the end of the day, the reason I love what I do is because it pushes me to grow continually, to never accept that good enough is good enough.
So why aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery? Plastic surgery, reconstructive or aesthetic, is surgery that gives back. It doesn’t just remove or restore what was there, it enhances. Someone told me once, “The hardest surgery is making normal look better” and I took this to heart. Being a cosmetic surgeon means I have the responsibility of instilling confidence in you about your appearance, of improving your self-image and ability to interact with others. I believe in natural beauty and in helping you feel as good as you look.
