🔻دکتر قاسم فخرایی، رئیس بیمارستان تخصصی چشم فارابی، میگوید در پی اعتراضات دی «در مجموع هزار نفر» با پارگی چشم به این بیمارستان مراجعه کردند که همگی تحت جراحی اورژانسی اولیه قرار گرفتند و ادامه درمان بسیاری از آنها در جریان است.
به گفته رئیس این بیمارستان، این آمار مربوط به کسانی است که به طور خاص یک یا هر دو چشمشان آسیب دیده و شامل پارگی پلک و جراحات دیگر ناشی از برخورد گلوله یا ساچمه به صورت نمیشود.
مریم صباغی، سرپرستار بیمارستان فارابی هم میگوید طی این مدت «همه تختهای بیمارستان» پرشده و معترضانی که چشمشان آسیب دیده روی تختهای همراه و برانکاردهایی که از بیمارستانهای دیگر قرض گرفته شده، بستری شدهاند.
او همچنین میگوید بیشتر این مجروحان افراد جوان بودهاند. . 🔻 Dr. Ghasem Fakhraei, head of Farabi Eye Specialty Hospital, says that following the protests in the month of Dey (December–January), a total of 1,000 people were referred to this hospital with ruptured eyeballs. All of them underwent emergency primary surgery, and many are still in the process of treatment.
According to the hospital director, this statistic only includes patients who suffered direct injury to one or both eyes, and does not include eyelid lacerations or other facial injuries caused by bullets or pellet shots.
Maryam Sabbaghi, head nurse of Farabi Hospital, says that during this period all hospital beds were fully occupied, and protesters with eye injuries were hospitalized on family members’ beds and stretchers borrowed from other hospitals.
She also states that most of the injured patients were young people.

👉 This is the data from only ONE hospital in Tehran. Considering that protests were reported in over 600 cities across Iran, one can imagine the true scale of injuries nationwide.
