Did you know you can build serious strength without heavy weights? 💪
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) therapy is one of the most exciting tools in modern physical therapy — and we use it right here at OCPT.
Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or looking to train smarter, BFR lets you get more out of less. Less load on your joints. More signal to your muscles. Faster results.
Swipe to learn how it works and who it’s for 👉

Here’s a hot take: physical therapy is not just for people who are injured.

Your physical therapist holds a doctorate in human movement science. We study biomechanics, neuroscience, strength, pain science, and performance — for 7+ years. That expertise doesn’t disappear between injuries.

The old model: something breaks → see a PT → get fixed → disappear.

The new model: work with a PT the way elite athletes do — proactively, consistently, and with a focus on performance, longevity, and quality of life.

You don’t wait until your teeth are falling out to see a dentist. Stop waiting until you’re in pain to invest in your body.

Whether you’re a weekend warrior, a busy parent, or a desk worker — you deserve to MOVE BETTER, not just hurt less.

Come see us before something breaks. 🙌

💪 Did you know you start losing muscle in your 30s?

It’s called sarcopenia — age-related muscle loss — and most people don’t even know it’s happening until it starts affecting their daily life.

The good news? It’s not inevitable. 🙌

Resistance training is one of the most powerful things you can do to protect your health, your balance, and your independence as you age. And Physical Therapy can guide you every step of the way — safely, progressively, and tailored specifically to you.

Swipe through to learn:
➡️ What sarcopenia actually is
➡️ Why falls are preventable — not just a part of aging
➡️ How muscle mass protects your long-term health
➡️ The role PT plays in keeping you strong and independent

Whether you’re 55 or 85, whether you’ve never lifted a weight or you’re bouncing back from an injury — we meet you where you are.

🥩 Did you know what you eat after surgery directly affects how fast you recover — and how much muscle you keep?
The research on post-operative nutrition has gotten really clear in recent years, and the results are honestly surprising. Studies across knee replacements, hip replacements, ACL reconstruction, and rotator cuff repairs all point to the same thing: most surgical patients are severely undereating protein, and it’s costing them weeks of recovery time.
The evidence-backed targets are significantly higher than most people realize — and that’s before we even get into the role of Omega-3s, Vitamin D, and Creatine, all of which have solid research supporting their use specifically in orthopedic recovery populations.
Swipe through for the full breakdown — including what to eat, when to eat it, and which supplements are actually worth it for your specific surgery.
As always, talk to your surgeon or a registered dietitian before starting any new supplement regimen. But consider this your starting point for the conversation. 👍

Us every single Sunday night without fail 😂
But real talk — that version of you at 9pm on Sunday? That’s still YOU. The one who actually wants to move, feel better, and show up. Don’t let Wednesday you talk you out of it.
This week we’re actually doing it. PT exercises, walks, workouts — whatever it looks like for you. No excuses, no rescheduling, no “I’ll start Monday” energy.
Let’s go. Drop a 💪 in the comments if you’re in. 👇

🚨 PT Myth Busters — how many of these did you believe?
We hear these constantly in the clinic. From patients, from athletes, from people who’ve been managing pain for years based on advice that just isn’t accurate anymore. So we’re setting the record straight.
Swipe through and see how many land for you — because what you believe about your body directly affects the decisions you make about your recovery.
The biggest one we see? People resting through injuries that desperately need movement. Or pushing through pain because someone told them that’s just part of the process. Neither is true, and both can make things significantly worse.
Modern physical therapy is evidence-based, progressive, and built around your specific goals — whether that’s getting back on the field, keeping up with your kids, or just getting through your day without pain.
Drop a 🙋 in the comments if any of these surprised you, or tell us which myth you used to believe. We’d love to know. 👇

🦵 ACL 101 — Everything You Need to Know
Whether you just tore yours, know someone who did, or you’re an athlete trying to understand your risk — this one’s for you. Swipe through for a full breakdown of what the ACL actually does, how tears happen (hint: 70% are non-contact), the different graft options your surgeon might discuss, and what a realistic rehab timeline actually looks like.
Because one of the biggest mistakes we see? People thinking they’re “done” at 6 months. The biology of graft healing doesn’t care about your timeline — and returning too early is one of the fastest ways to end up back on the table.
Surgery repairs the structure. Rehab rebuilds the athlete. You genuinely cannot skip the second part.
If you’re currently navigating an ACL injury and have questions about what to expect, what to ask your surgeon, or how to make sure you’re doing rehab the right way — drop them in the comments or send us a DM. We’re always happy to help point you in the right direction. 👇
