Part 1: Total Body Lift Consult After 350 Pound Weight Loss - Upper Body✨
Our patient has lost over 350 pounds of weight and is looking to have his excess skin removed to improve his quality of life. He has a lot of muscle and has done the work, so this is his next step in his journey. His chest, back, and legs bother him the most, but of course we are going to transform his entire body.
Starting with his arms, there is about three inches of armpit skin laxity that we can correct through an L-brachioplasty. Then his horizontal or circumferential skin laxity will be addressed through a J-thoracoplasty. From there, we would need to perform a chest correction or a gynecomastia correction. Since his chest has lost so much volume, his whole chest unit has migrated down and his mammary crease is too low. We need to reposition his chest at a higher position. When we pull up and reposition his chest, he will get a reverse tummy tuck effect with his abdominal skin pulled up along with the chest. Then would chase the skin laxity on his back.
