She underwent a Total Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) with muscle tightening and liposuction of the waist, hips, and flanks. During surgery, 2.8 pounds of excess tissue and 1.9 liters of fat were removed to create a smoother, more contoured shape.

This 49-year-old patient came to Dr. Q bothered by a small flap of skin and fat on her lower abdomen following previous C-section and hysterectomy surgeries. The excess tissue would fold over her clothing, making her feel uncomfortable and self-conscious.

She was an excellent candidate for a Mini-Abdominoplasty, which allowed Dr. Q to tighten the lower abdominal muscles and remove about 180 grams of excess tissue for a smoother, flatter contour. Because she was already very thin, liposuction was not needed.
