At the Hoag Family Cancer Institute, innovation is accelerating under the leadership of Steven R. Grossman, MD, PhD, the Grace E. Hoag Executive Medical Director Endowed Chair. Since joining Hoag in April 2025, Dr. Grossman has been advancing a bold vision for the future of cancer care—one that brings the most promising scientific breakthroughs directly to patients.
Through philanthropic support, Dr. Grossman is driving key priorities that reflect Hoag’s commitment to precision, compassion, and innovation. His leadership is expanding precision medicine, advancing radiotherapeutics, accelerating cell therapy trials for hard-to-treat solid tumors, strengthening translational research, and elevating integrative oncology to care for the whole person.
This work is made possible through the generosity of the George Hoag Family Foundation, whose establishment of the Grace E. Hoag Executive Medical Director Endowed Chair honors the compassion and community commitment exemplified by Grace Hoag. As Melinda Hoag Smith shared, supporting leaders like Dr. Grossman ensures Hoag continues to deliver care with excellence, dignity, and heart.
Hoag remains grateful for this visionary partnership—and for the momentum it brings to advancing cancer care in our community.
