When we slow down and really notice the small moments—morning sunlight on our face, a kind word we didn’t expect, or a single deep, calming breath—something inside us begins to soften. Gratitude doesn’t ignore the hard seasons; it simply reminds us that even in the middle of challenge, there are still steady, supportive moments carrying us through.

And as I reflect on the things I’m grateful for, each and every one of you is truly on that list. 🧡

Your presence, your stories, and your trust mean more than you know, and they’re part of what helps me stay grounded and open-hearted.

Thanksgiving foods don’t just taste incredible — they’re basically a mood-boosting, brain-loving power combo hiding in plain sight. ✨

Turkey is loaded with tryptophan, the amino acid your body turns into serotonin — the spark that helps fuel dopamine, motivation, and that calm, happy vibe.

Sweet potatoes give you those slow, steady complex carbs that keep your energy smooth and your mood lifted (no crashes, just cozy stability).

And cranberries + pumpkin? They’re antioxidant powerhouses that feed your brain, sharpen your focus, and support balanced hormones.

Put them all together and your Thanksgiving plate becomes a science-backed recipe for better mood, clearer thinking, and total seasonal glow. 🍁

🧡 Happy Thanksgiving 🧡

Lignans are a unique type of phytoestrogen found in certain seeds and grains. Unlike synthetic hormones, lignans work by gently modulating estrogen receptors, helping your body balance high or low estrogen states—something that becomes increasingly important during perimenopause.

When you eat foods like flax, sesame, sprouted oats, and buckwheat, your gut bacteria convert lignans into compounds that can:

• Support more stable estrogen metabolism

• Reduce the intensity of hot flashes

• Nourish the gut–hormone connection

• Support a smoother menstrual or perimenopausal transition

Seed cycling uses this concept intentionally by eating specific lignan-rich seeds at different points in your cycle to support natural hormonal rhythms.

Small daily habits can shift your entire hormonal landscape. ✨

Types of Fatigue We Don’t Talk About

Sometimes exhaustion runs deeper than lack of sleep. Here are five kinds of fatigue that quietly drain your energy:

💛 Helper Fatigue – when you pour into others and forget to refill yourself
🩶 Depression Fatigue – the mental exhaustion from fighting off negative thoughts
🌙 Future Fatigue – worrying so much about what’s next that you lose touch with the present
💭 Anxiety Fatigue – constantly feeling on edge, unable to feel safe or relax
💫 Compassion Fatigue – absorbing the emotions of others until your own energy runs out

✨ Take a breath. You’re allowed to rest.
Which type of fatigue resonates with you most today?

Our environment is not only beautiful, but harnesses so much healing power.

From bathing in natural springs to breathing in rural air, “nature therapy” has long been known to help with whatever ails you. This is because connecting with Nature is natural for every single being on the planet.

Here’s how:
1. Boosts cognitive function
Want to sharpen your brain? Head outside. Natural environments may help you focus and improve your attention, memory, organizational skills, and much more. They also increase activity in the pre-frontal cortex, which is the part of the brain that controls emotion.

2. Improves mood
Similarly, spending time in nature seems to make people happier! Activities such as “forest-bathing” which involves just hanging out in the forest, have been shown to increase happiness. Nature-based activities lessen hostility and encourage relaxation & emotional well-being. Which means this also benefits those with high blood pressure.

3. Increases immunity
Research has revealed that being outdoors near plants, trees and flowers helps improve immune function as well. Following excursions to the forest, participants in one study showed an increase in the activity of their natural killer cells, which are an integral part of the immune system. This immunity boost is likely influenced by the fact that when we spend time in nature, we are exposed to phytonicides. These are substances that plants produce to protect themselves from insects and disease, but they also appear to help humans fight disease.

Being outdoors among the trees, is one of my favorite places to spend time. I’d love to hear about how much time you spend in Nature and how it’s impacted your health.

Gluten can impact more than digestion — it may also affect the brain. For some people, gluten triggers an immune response that can target brain tissue, leading to inflammation and neurological symptoms. Understanding your body’s sensitivity is key to protecting both gut and brain health. 🌿
