Our Story

The motivation for the creation of our stores was to meet the needs of consumers in a local area by providing a community oriented independent drug store.


  • Quality Drug was formed in 1996 by launching Via Lido Drugs in Newport Beach. The company was founded by Fritz Duda of Fritz Duda Company and Roger Stangeland, Retired Chairman of the Board and CEO of The Vons Companies, Inc.

  • In 2004 Quality Drug Corporation launched it’s 2nd store, Laguna Drug, located in Laguna Beach.

  • In 2006 Quality Drug Corporation opened it’s 3rd location, Coast Hills Pharmacy, in the Newport Hills Shopping Center in Newport Beach.
