POV: You used to feel like you had unlimited energy, drive, and yourself — and then perimenopause walked in. 🪽❌

Jamie Tartt said he felt like he lost his Red Bull wings and honestly? That's the most accurate description of perimenopause nobody asked for. 😅

One day you're sharp, energized, and feeling like you — and then suddenly:

😶‍🌫️ Brain fog hits mid-sentence
😴 You're exhausted but can't sleep
🔥 Hot flashes out of nowhere
📉 Libido? What libido?
😤 Irritability that surprises even YOU

And the hardest part isn't the symptoms — it's that nobody warned you this was coming.

Perimenopause can start in your late 30s or early 40s, years before your period actually stops. Most women suffer in silence because their doctors brush it off or they simply don't recognize what's happening to their own body.

You're not "just stressed."
You're not "getting old."
You're not imagining it.

Your hormones are shifting — and you deserve real information and real solutions.

👇 Tell me in the comments: when did you first realize something had changed?

The number one thing impacting fertility in my practice right now? Cannabis use.

And the data is striking.

Women who use cannabis have 25% fewer eggs retrieved during IVF and 28% lower live birth rates. Men who use it show significantly lower s***m counts, increased DNA fragmentation, and their female partners experience higher miscarriage rates even when only the man is using.

This is a modifiable factor that's been normalized by society, but the reproductive consequences are real and measurable.

If you're trying to conceive, this is one change that could make a meaningful difference.

If you're taking testosterone and want to get pregnant, we need to talk.

I'm seeing more women in their thirties and forties using testosterone for low libido or perimenopausal symptoms. But here's what many don't realize: you should not be on testosterone if you're actively trying to conceive.

Testosterone can thin your uterine lining, making it harder to sustain a pregnancy. And if you do get pregnant while taking it, there's a real risk of virilizing a female fetus, especially if you don't know you're pregnant yet.

This doesn't mean testosterone is bad. It means timing matters when you're planning for a family.

If fertility is in your future, talk to your doctor about the right approach for your intimate health goals.

If you're trying to conceive, NSAIDs like Advil or Aleve could be silently sabotaging you.

Here's what most people don't know: these common pain relievers can prevent your follicle from releasing an egg, even though your body goes through all the hormonal changes of ovulation. You think you're ovulating, but you're not.

And if you're relying on fertility apps? Only 20% accurately predict your ovulation window. That means 80% get it wrong.

Here's the bigger picture: infertility isn't just about getting pregnant. Women with infertility face up to 80% higher rates of stroke, heart attack, metabolic disease, and cancer. This isn't a fertility issue alone. It's a whole-body health signal we need to take seriously.
