Position during intimacy doesn't affect your chances of pregnancy.

I had a brilliant friend whose equally brilliant sister thought she couldn't get pregnant when she was on top during intimacy with her husband. Spoiler alert: she was wrong.

Here's why: s***m reach the cervical canal within seconds of ej*******on and make it to the fallopian tubes within minutes. They're incredibly fast swimmers, and gravity isn't slowing them down.

This also means that putting your legs up in the air after intimacy won't sp*ed up conception. Nothing you do position-wise is going to change how quickly s***m reach their destination.

The takeaway? Always use protection if you're not trying to conceive. And if you are trying, don't waste energy with acrobatics afterward. Your body's already doing the work.

Save this if you've ever wondered whether position matters.

I'm a surgeon and here are three things that surprised me about my own surgery.

First, it hurt when I p*ed and I didn't have a UTI. After a long surgery, we place a catheter in your bladder, and that can cause irritation. The burning sensation is completely normal for the first three or four times you urinate after a procedure. If I didn't know better as a urologist, I would've panicked thinking something was seriously wrong.

Second, my urine was bright blue. We'd injected dye during my breast surgery, but seeing neon blue p*e was still shocking. In urology, we sometimes use similar dyes to locate structures during procedures, and we don't always remember to warn patients beforehand.

Third, I was so zonked out after anesthesia that I barely remember talking to my surgeon. I missed almost everything she told me in recovery.

Save this if you're having surgery soon. And if you've already had a procedure, drop a 💬 with what surprised you most.

Prostate massages are real, but nothing like what you see in movies.

As a urologist, I occasionally perform this procedure for patients with prostatitis. Here's what actually happens: I collect a urine sample first, then gently examine the prostate through a re**al exam to express prostatic fluid. The patient provides another urine sample after, which helps us detect infection by capturing prostate cells.

It's a legitimate diagnostic tool, not what Hollywood portrays.

The technique is gentle, clinical, and designed to gather cells for testing. There's no dramatic production, no uncomfortable pressure, just straightforward medical care focused on finding answers for persistent prostate inflammation.

If you've been avoiding evaluation because of what you've seen on screen, know that the reality is professional, quick, and far less intimidating.

Save this if you've ever wondered about the truth behind prostate exams.
