I’m upset. I’m devastated. My thoughts today:

We have technology that lets us sit in cars that drive themselves, yet we haven’t created effective, accessible technology to save lives from overdoses. 💔

Today, we lost another person to something preventable. Why haven’t we done better? Why hasn’t innovation been directed toward stopping the crisis of addiction and overdose deaths?

Here’s a heartbreaking truth: Fentanyl overdoses claim more lives each year than car accidents. In 2023, over 75,000 people in the U.S. died from synthetic opioid overdoses, including fentanyl. That’s 200 lives lost every day.

We need to demand better. We need to prioritize life-saving solutions—People’s lives matter.

Let’s honor those we’ve lost by fighting for change. 🕊️💔
