Lent has arrived… A time of return & renewal — to God, to prayer, to our true selves… 💜
Please enjoy this short video of Father Thomas Keating explaining how prayer is a means by which we can learn to “relax into who we really are.” Beautiful.
May all beings experience the deep relaxation & connection with the divine that is our true selves!
Thank you & to precious Father Thomas Keating for your still ever-present kindness & wisdom….

| In prayer we relax into who we already are
🇪🇸 🇺🇸
“Basically in contemplative prayer you’re taking your particular localized energy of the Ultimate Reality, just as you are, and letting go of all secondary things and are just being in the presence of that which is the most real part of one’s being. And, some traditions call this the self, or the True Self, which is this presence of the infinite energy or creative energy of God manifesting in our particular form of creaturehood. And so in prayer we just relax into who we already are.”
