That’s the one who flares up when you’re running on empty —
when your kids won’t listen,
when you feel dismissed, disrespected, or unseen.

The one who still carries the echoes of not being enough,
of working for love,
of waiting to be chosen.

And without realising it, that’s the child who often shows up in your parenting —
frustrated, reactive, desperate to be heard.

So before you tend to your child… go within.

Find the one inside you who’s still hurting.
Not to blame — but to listen.
To witness.
To offer the love they didn’t receive.

Because when you tend to that child first, everything shifts.

You stop parenting from old wounds and start showing up with clarity.
You respond instead of react.
You guide instead of control.
You meet your child where they are — because you’re no longer stuck where you were.

Heal that one, and the rest becomes easier.
Maybe not perfect — but easier. ❤️

Big feelings aren’t a sign that you’ve lost control.

They’re a sign that your child is learning to feel — and needs your guidance to do it safely.

Holding space doesn’t mean saying yes to everything.

It means saying “no” with compassion.
It means staying grounded while their emotions rise.
It means teaching them, through presence, that boundaries and love can coexist.

They don’t need a parent who avoids discomfort. They need a parent who can sit with it — without shaming, without shutting down, and without giving in just to make it stop.

That’s not weakness. That’s leadership.

And in the long run, it builds trust, resilience, and emotional strength — in you AND your child. ❤️
