Who’s talking about this big problem?

Low glutathione aa a causative big factor in gallstones.

Why?

Your biggest detoxification genes are the cytochrome P450 genes.

These work very hard in eliminating most medications from your liver.

When medications are processed by your cytochrome P450 enzymes, there is a huge amount of hydrogen peroxide created.

Hydrogen peroxide is eliminated by glutathione.

Glutathione is also needed to eliminate chlorine, formaldehyde, arsenic, mercury, alcohol, neurotransmitters, histamine to name a few.

Support healthy glutathione levels by reducing how much your liver needs to detox.

Filter your water, limit medication use, filter your air and don’t eat bad food especially crappy oils and excess sugars. These chow your glutathione.

As you’re working on these, supplement with Glutathione in the form of s-acetyl glutathione. It’s the most stable.

I formulated a Glutathione lozenge that works very well, tastes great, safe for kids and pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Take 1/2 to 1 lozenge of Glutathione Plus Lozenges upon waking and another midday.

These are available at seekinghealth.com

Yet another key issue to understand about how your body workd.

In a meta analysis of 7 studies, it was found that taking a brief walk after eating can help lower the risk of Type 2 Diabetes and heart problems.

A light walk of even just 2-5 minutes after a meal has been found to significantly reduce blood sugar and insulin levels.

Out of control blood sugar spikes and the insulin released to control it, is often involved in the development of insulin resistance, weight gain and diabetes.

Even standing rather than sitting following a meal can help lower blood sugar levels, although the effect of walking is even more significant!

This study helps prove the benefits of even “mini walks” after our meals. So if you are a busy working professional or an individual with very little free time, this is the perfect life hack for you! The incorporation of this small daily habit, has measurable effects, that can help positively impact your health. No Excuses, get walking!

Female fertility challenges are hardly ever straight forward and from one origin. Often times it is a combination of factors that contribute to hormone imbalance and challenges to fertility. Beyond what is mentioned above, even genetic mutations, environmental toxins like heavy metals, and exposure to estrogen disrupting plastics and chemicals can also impact fertility.

When it comes to developing a pcos treatment or fertility plan, the most successful strategies include a combination of dietary changes, gut healing with supportive nutrients and holistic lifestyle changes such as choosing cleaner household cleaning products and make up brands to reduce hormone disruption. From a functional medicine lens we look at all the root causes and factors that impact may be impacting your fertility and come up with a personalized plan.

One of the most gratifying and exciting experiences for me as a provider this year was witnessing multiple patients conceive and reach their goals of hormone balance and improved fertilty! If you are interested in working together to come up with a personalize plan for you, reach out to me in the DMs, I would love to help :)

Post holiday feelings of guilt from overindulgence is a real thing. This is a reminder that restriction is not the answer!

Did you have a great time yesterday spending time and making memories with family members and the people that you love most? Well that’s what matters most! 💜

If you woke up today, looked in the mirror and had some negative thoughts about yourself… and your first course of corrective action was to not eat…I encourage you to stop for a moment…

Take some deep breaths and let go of the guilt, shame and anger BECAUSE YOU DID NOTHING WRONG.

The best thing you can do today if you are feeling this way is to stay out of your head and turn off that inner critic. It can help to journal and write out all those uncomfortable conversations in your head and let go of the inner torment by emptying your head.

These negative voices are what is getting in the way of getting back to a sense of normalcy, such as regular eating patterns and activity levels . We can realize we over did it a little and still move forward. Don’t let those trash talking voices cause unhealthy deprivation that do more harm than good in the long run.

Once you have cleared your mind by writing it out, focus on getting on with your day and do the things that make you feel good!

Consider spending time today in walking nature or practicing a form of self care that means something to you! Maybe that’s yoga, meditation, catching up with a good friend, soaking in an epsom salt bath or getting a jump start on your positive affirmations for the new year.

✨ You got this! ✨

Bloating is so uncomfortable, isn’t it?

In my experience boating usually has several root causes. Many times it’s a combination of an imbalance or overgrowth in the gut microbiome , hormonal imbalances, dietary choices and meal timing that drives and mitigates bloating severity. Occasionally it can even be things such as low stomach and vagus nerve dysfunction driving bloating and IBS symptoms. The list above might aid in relieving symptoms of bloating and are just some of the tools we may implement working together on our healing journey.

What have you found to be the main drivers of your bloating?

Fisetin is a methylation adaptogen and a Younger You epinutrient.

Studies have shown fisetin to be beneficial as a senolytic agent in old mice and in human tissue, meaning, it made the mice immunologically younger and less inflamed.

Other animal studies show fisetin to be antioxidant, antitumerogenic, cardio- and neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory.

And a small study looking at inflammatory markers in colon cancer patients showed benefit at only 100 mg/day!

Stay tuned for larger human studies.
