FACEologyMD FaceologyMD® - Led by Dr. Raymond Lee, known for the signature deep plane Faceology® Lift. Expertise in surgical treatments and advanced aesthetics.

Trusted team, of face experts, dedicated to delivering exceptional results. Dr. Lee is double board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology and has spent a decade perfecting his craft. The desire to pursue medicine was evident at a young age, as Dr. Lee’s father, an OB/GYN, shared his passion for both medicine and people. This lead to an extensive academic journey which began at Northwestern University in Chicago with an undergraduate degree, and continued with a medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. After graduation, Dr. Lee was granted a General Surgery internship and an Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in south Florida. While there, he earned the prestigious Chandler Society Research Scientific Award for temporal bone work. Once his residency was completed, he continued his education in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he received intensive fellowship training in aesthetic facial plastics, under the direction of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Lee has also co-authored numerous medical articles and offered several professional presentations across the country to other plastic and cosmetic surgeons. He’s been practicing in Orange County since 2006, and has successfully performed nearly 4,000 facial aesthetic surgeries, and has built a reputation for achieving a natural appearance for his patients. This surgical skill is the basis of his talent, and garners extensive recognition in the field of facial plastic surgery. Giving back to those less fortunate is a focus of Dr. Lee’s personal and professional life, and he volunteers his time and talent performing reconstructive surgeries for acquired and congenital pediatric facial defects at the Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia and CURE International Hospital in the Dominican Republic. He currently resides and practices in Orange County, California and enjoys beach volleyball, surfing and taking care of his two rescue dogs Maggie and Cody.

If your lower face looks tired, downturned, or tense—even at rest—DAO Botox can make a subtle but powerful difference.

Why we do it
The DAO (Depressor Anguli Oris) muscle pulls the corners of the mouth down. Over time, overactivity here can:
Create a permanent frown or sad expression
Pull the lower lip inward, thinning its appearance
Increase tension in the chin, emphasizing dimpling or heaviness

By relaxing this muscle, we let the opposing elevators do their job—resulting in a softer, more balanced lower face.

What it improves
✔️ Gently lifts the mouth corners (no “frown” look)
✔️ Allows the lower lip to evert slightly, looking fuller without filler
✔️ Smooths chin tension and restores harmony between lip and chin
Where we place it

Tiny, precise injections are placed just lateral to the mouth corners, directly into the DAO muscle
Dosing is conservative—this is about balance, not freezing

Often paired thoughtfully with chin or mentalis treatment, depending on anatomy

The result
A relaxed, refreshed lower face that still moves naturally—just without the downward pull.
