When it comes to the nervous system and self -regulation, I totally geek out 🧠

💥Our pelvic floor is a responder, NOT a driver! Your body, and especially your core and pelvic floor are ALWAYS doing the best they can given your environment, past/present/anticipated trauma, and emotional/physical/spiritual states…they are RESPONDING to any and all changes. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

🧘🏼‍♀️Many times if we can shift the way our body responds to stress, we automatically eliminate a big portion of pelvic floor symptoms!

🙅🏼‍♀️You can’t always control what’s going on “out there”, but you can absolutely promote inner well-being, increase coping skills, and even feel confident and powerful during times of stress!

⭐️One of the first and most important things I do as a pelvic health intervention is teach self-regulation strategies and reconnection to the breath and the body.
💫Being able to manage your nervous system and shift your inner state is the first step to overcoming pelvic floor dysfunction, and it creates a foundation that promotes health in every aspect of your life💫
