There are several different categories Elder Abuse fall under recognizing the signs can help save a life. SPEAK UP and REPORT abuse immediately here are a few things to look out for;
Physical Abuse
1)Pressure Marks
2)Fractured Bones
3)Blood or torn clothing
4) Burn injuries

Emotional Abuse
1)Depressed
2)jumpy/nervousness
3)withdrawn

Neglect
1)Weight Loss
2)Bedsore
3)Over all health declining
4) Lack of Hygeine

Upon observation if you witness the above signs mentioned please do not hesitate to tell a social worker, immediate supervisor or even call 911 if needed file a report some one life will depend on it.

•Thirst
•Less-frequent urination, dark urine
•Dry skin
•Fatigue
•Light-headedness
•Dizziness
•Confusion
•Dry mouth and mucous membranes

Understanding the signs of Alzheimers Disease and how to comfort those who suffer from the illness a few tips for the day
1) Increasing memory loss
2) Frequent personality change
3) Difficulty with speech and solving everyday problems
4) Having poor judgement and making rash descisions
5 )Misplacing items on a daily basis
6) Withdrawing from social activities

Early detection can help with better care and allowing the illness to respond better to treatment. Being Patient, calm, and reassuring can keep the client in a calm mood and help respond better to the care he/she will receive. Also each individual is different some may be very sensitive to light which can make them frustrated or sensitive to loud noise try to improvise by dimming the lights or keeping the curtains close and the noise level low to keep them stress free as possible.
