EXAM UPDATE

To ensure safety for our members and others, AAPC has made the difficult decision to cancel all U.S. exams through April 15th.

There is no action required on your part at this time. Your exam appointment will be automatically canceled and all cancellation fees will be waived. You will be able to apply your voucher to a future exam.

If your exam voucher expires in March, April or May, your exam voucher will be automatically extended through September 30th.

Please know our goal is to expedite your opportunity to certify, but right now safety is our primary concern. We will update you with new information as it becomes available.

Below are answers to many of the questions we have received this week.

Q&A

What do I need to do to cancel?

Nothing. We will automatically cancel all exams scheduled through April 15th.

Will I be charged a fee?

No, all cancellation fees are waived at this time.

How do I reschedule?

Once we have processed all the exam cancellation you will be able to log into your account and apply your voucher to a future date. We expect this process to take a few days.

Will AAPC resume exams after April 15th?

It is difficult to determine at this time. We will continue to monitor the guidance of the CDC, the WHO and the White House Taskforce. Some exam proctor facilities may require cancellations beyond April 15th. We will continue to update you through our website, email and social media.

Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time.

Our chapter is happy to announce next month's speaker will be Mr. Brian Boyce CEO, Proprietor, & Managing Consultant of ionHealthcare. Brian will give detailed information on HCC coding for reporting accurate patient risk adjustment scores. His knowledge on risk adjustment rules and regulations is unsurmountable.

Brian is the author of the risk Risk Adjustment Course for CRC preparation for AAPC certification.

Please come join us for this great learning opportunity as HCC and valued base medicine is a huge part of our future in coding.

Please RSVP at peninsulaprofessionalcoders@yahoo.com

Appetizers and refreshments will be serve!
