The VHS corporate and home and community-based team celebrated annual awards during a luncheon on Monday at The Arbors Independent Living.
Congratulations to our Team Members of the Year Michelle Smith and Jessica Firman! Michelle is the Assistant Director of Nursing Operations and Jessica is our Director of Clinical Support. They assist our clinical teams across VHS with training, systems support and more. A highlight in the past year was the roll out of new medical carts and a medication management system in partnership with VHS Pharmacy.
Also congratulations to our Most Inspirational Team Member of the Year Terry Williamson, LPN! (The award goes to a team member who has been with VHS less than a year.) Terry is a Nursing Training and Education Coordinator who teaches the earn-as-you-learn apprenticeship program on the Peninsula. She joined the team about a year ago and as Director of Education Princess Henderson, RN, BSN, says, she has taken on the class with grace and a steady hand. (Terry received her award at Thursday's apprentice graduation.)
Arbors concierge Annie Scott was awarded Team Member of the Quarter for the warmth she exudes in greeting every resident, guest and teammate. Congratulations Annie!
Also awarded were team members celebrating milestone service anniversaries in Q3, including administrative assistant Holly Slater (20 years), Senior Director of Marketing and Community Outreach Heather Duncan (5 years) and (unpictured) LaQuirsta White (5 years with VHS Home Health), Whitney Wisdom (15 years VHS Rehabilitation), Candace Adkinson (15 years at The Arbors) and several one-year anniversaries.
