It’s not just about too much screen time—it’s about what it’s doing to you.

A major new study followed over 4,000 teens and found something big:
addictive screen patterns—like using phones to cope, feeling distressed when unplugged, or constantly needing to check apps—were tied to higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

Meanwhile, just counting hours on screens? Not strongly linked to mental health issues at all.

If scrolling feels like a reflex or a crutch, that’s not weakness—it might be something worth talking through.

We’re here to help you make sense of it and take back control.

Sometimes the most meaningful gift is simply recognizing someone for who they truly are.

This Father’s Day, we’re sharing a lighthearted, fill-in-the-blank letter template—created to help you show appreciation for the father figure in your life. That could be someone who raised you, mentored you, supported you, or continues to show up with love and patience in their own beautifully neurodiverse way.

✨ This isn’t just for traditional dads. It’s for stepdads, adoptive dads, chosen dads, dog dads, and anyone embracing fatherhood in their own unique form.

💌 Planning to hand it over in person or send it by mail? A printable PDF version is linked in the comments—ready to download.

At ADHD-Aid Psychiatry, we honor all the ways love, care, and connection show up—especially within families navigating ADHD.

Save this post, fill out the letter, and share it with someone who deserves to feel seen.

GROW WITH US—365 DAYS A YEAR 🌼https://bit.ly/3SHWXgG

Every supportive community helps its members flourish, and we’re inviting you to help plant a little encouragement in our Virtual Community Garden! 💬

We WERE going to launch this on National Water a Flower Day… but it turns out that’s the last day of May—when Mental Health Awareness Month is technically over. How fitting, honestly. Because caring for your mental health shouldn’t be limited to one month nor is it a once-a-year thing—it’s an everyday thing.

That’s why our garden will be open 365 days a year—for our patients, our clients, our community, and you.

Here’s how it works:
🩷Share a nurturing phrase or affirmation that helps you through difficult moments.
💙 It could be something you tell yourself, or words someone else shared that made a difference.
🧡 Press “S” on your keyboard to make a sticky note and write your message.
🌸 Want to add a flower? You’ll find some in the Resources page (see slides 3 and 4)!

Let’s grow something together. 🌱
