If you've ever been to Florida, you've seen these Eastern lubber grasshoppers everywhere. They are one of the largest grasshoppers in North America! It's best to observe their wobbly gait from afar and not touch them. They will hiss and secrete a foul-smelling, irritating foam from their thorax when threatened.

🌬 Cold Front in August? Yes, Please! ❄️🌞

Is it just us, or does this unexpected cool breeze feel like a little gift from Mother Nature? After weeks of sweltering heat, this mid-summer cold is exactly what we didn't know we needed. Windows are open, coffee tastes better on the porch, and even the dogs seem happier on their walks. 🐾

There's something magical about stepping outside in August and not immediately regretting it. Who else is loving this little taste of Fall in the middle of Summer besides our French bully, Sir Maximus? 🍃☀️

This past weekend was a scorcher 🔥, but led to some much needed rain. Hopefully the downpour cooled things off a bit where you are!

While we still have more HOT days ahead, HYDRATION matters!

Your body is made up of about 60% water, and it uses water for almost every vital function, including:
🔘Regulating body temperature (especially through sweating)
🔘Aiding digestion and nutrient absorption
🔘Lubricating joints
🔘Transporting oxygen and nutrients
🔘Flushing out toxins

So don't forget to Drink Regularly, Carry a Water Bottle, Eat Water-Rich Foods, Limit Caffeine and Alcohol, and Use Electrolyte Drinks!!
