🚩 They avoid conversations about testing.
✅ They’re open to talking about sexual health.

🚩 They pressure you to skip protection.
✅ They respect your boundaries every time.

🚩 They get defensive when you ask about status.
✅ They understand questions aren’t accusations.

🚩 They assume testing is only for “certain people.”
✅ They know testing is for everyone.

🚩 They say love should be “blind.”
✅ They believe love should be informed.

🚩 They treat HIV like a secret.
✅ They treat HIV like a health condition.

🚩 They rush intimacy but avoid responsibility.
✅ They move at a pace that feels safe for you.

🚩 They make jokes that minimize health concerns.
✅ They take your health seriously.

Some moments deserve more than just one day.

In January, MASS joined community leaders and partners to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the 12th Annual S. Delois Mayes Scholarship Foundation Brunch in Suffolk, Virginia.

We’re grateful to stand in spaces that honor history while investing in the future.

Black History Month is more than reflection.

It’s a platform to speak honestly about health equity, name the disparities affecting Black communities, and uplift the work being done to close those gaps.

This February, we’ll be centering Black health, amplifying education, and pushing for access to prevention, care, and dignity for all.

Welcome to Black History Month 🖤

This is what showing up looks like.

In clinics, classrooms, neighborhoods, and community spaces, MASS stays present. (Not just in words, but in action.)

Thank you for supporting work that meets people where they are.

01/23/2026

The work doesn’t stop (and neither does the need).

Your donation helps fund free HIV/STI testing, treatment support, and community outreach across our region. When you give, you help MASS continue showing up where it matters most.

Donate today and be part of the impact. 💙
