This week's staff spotlight highlights our office manager, Mary Grimsely. We here at Fly Family Therapy would not be able to do our job without the help of Mrs.Grimsely, who keeps everything running smoothly. Mary helps with billing, scheduling, and various other essential tasks. If you have visited our Newport News Office, you have likely interacted with Mrs. Grimsely at the front desk or by phone. She is an integral part of our business. Outside of work, Mary enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.

This weeks staff spotlight highlights one of our residents, Siera Shepard. Siera enjoys working with neurodivergent adolescents, adults, and their families to help them create more fulfilling lives as well as reduce the impact of stressful life events. She takes an eclectic and neuro-affirming approach to counseling. She has experience working with neurodivergent individuals in various clinical settings for the past 4 years and appreciates the continued opportunity to work within this community. She works hard to create and maintain a safe space for neurodiverse individuals as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Siera recently graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and prior to that received a Bachelor of the Arts in Religious Studies with an emphasis on Abrahamic Religions (Islam, Christianity, and Judaism) from Syracuse University. She feels that her background in religious studies has helped her be a more culturally sensitive counselor. Outside of her work as a counselor, she enjoys playing Animal Crossing, snuggling with her three dogs, reading, and caring for her copious amount of plants.
