This morning at 9 am, I (Bob Taylor) had a delightful interview on KNPT Talk Radio with Cheri Brubaker. We covered a lot of ground about genealogy, the FamilySearch centers in the area, and of course The Family History Guide.

Welcome to the Newport Oregon FamilySearch Center!

You can stop by and visit us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 am to 1 pm, Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30 pm, and Sundays from noon to 1 pm. We have 10 volunteer consultants who can help you with your family history questions, free of charge. We may also be able to help with questions here on this page.

There is a Meeting room with sofa and chairs and a large-screen TV, a Computer Lab with 5 workstations and a printer/scanner, and a Media Workshop (under renovation) where you can convert audio cassettes or VHS tapes to digital format.

We are located at 2229 NE Crestview Dr. in Newport OR, in the southeast corner of the building. Come by and discover your family heritage with us!
