The power of gratitude is undeniable. Gratitude changes lives, strengthens teamwork, promotes healing, and improves physical health. Neurologist Preston Douglas, MD, explains that science backs it up. “It’s very important that we purposefully name what we’re grateful for. The more second nature that feeling of gratitude is on a regular basis, the better your overall well-being will be. Just having gratitude for each other and gratitude for what each of us can help the other with, whether it’s hospital and donor or just two friends.” As we begin this new year, we will be sharing reflections about gratitude from patients, staff, and donors. We encourage you to practice gratitude today by honoring a caregiver or sharing your story. Learn more: https://giving.lifespan.org/Newport/Share-Your-Story
