❄️ Happy Winter Solstice ❄️
The shortest day and longest night of the year 🕯️
As we’ve entered this cold season, our bodies are slowing down, tired, and requiring more rest, relaxation + grounding. As nature slows down around us - it’s natural that our bodies do too ✨ Be extra kind to yourself, honoring your body + mind by listening carefully to what it needs.. remember - the light is always within, carrying you through the cold.
“The light always returns, and so will you.”
Some ways to celebrate this Winter Solstice 🌗
-Open all the doors (at midnight open every door in the house for a few moments to let the old year out + inviting the new in)
-Carry a candle (In the night walk a lit candle around each room of your house, to bless your space, clear stagnant energy, and provide protection)
-Take time to rest + recharge
-Spend some time in nature 🍃
-Make a solstice simmer pot (oranges/cinnamon/cranberries/rosemary/ginger)
-Have a fire (say goodbye to the past year)
-Decorate with natural elements (pine needles, evergreen, pinecones) - make a wreath)
-Bury a piece of bread outside (An offering, a way of asking the land for abundance when earth wakes again)
-Create a vision board - reflect + set new intentions
-Nourish your body (Make a hearty meal)
Darkness is not something to survive. It is an invitation to grow. Celebrate the quiet, rest, take a cleansing bath, do what your soul feels called upon, to best take care of YOU during this change of season. This solstice is proof that the universe knows how to begin again, and so do you 🤲🏼
