Located on the property is, Kruger Korral, a full-care boarding, horse showing, horse event, trail course, and training facility offering a wide variety of services in a at home-like atmosphere accommodating all levels of equestrian abilities. One of the services offered is Hooves for Healing, which is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. This is a new approach to helping people through horses. EAP uses an innovative set of practices that build on the human/horse connection to help people learn more about themselves and use that learning to change their lives. Hooves for Healing therapy is a collaborative effort between a licensed therapist, a horse professional, and horse. The focus of EAP is not riding, all activities are done on the ground. This allows our clients to experiment, problem solve, take risks, employ creativity, and find their own solutions while talking to Lori, our licensed therapist and certified EAGALA professional. Hooves for Healing works with those who may experience anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, and/or difficult relationships. They also work with groups interested in team building and developing leadership skills.
