O God of all creation, you created all your children equally, blessing us with gifts and talents, and giving us the freedom to choose life over death.
Bring WELLNESS to our withered hands, minds, bodies and souls today, that only point to others’ mistakes. Cure our diseased minds that plot others’ downfall, and remove the scales of envy from our eyes that we may recognize the giftedness of our brothers and sisters. May we seek out every opportunity today O God to lift the fallen, to feed the hungry, to listen to the unheard, to love the unloved, and to be our brothers’ keeper, by holding them in a sacred place of wellness, like Jesus taught us to do. Amen 🙏🏼❤️🌻🦋🕊

Papa God, thanks for opening my eyes to this new day. Father, help me to accept that I have no greater claim on your love, mercy and forgiveness than any of my fellow pilgrims on this journey of faith. Cleanse my heart from any envy and jealousy O God, and instead give me a heart that is equally thankful, both for my blessings, and for the gifts, talents, and blessings of my brothers and sisters. Strengthen me today, that I may, in turn, respond with love, both to your generosity and your invitation to serve.

Papa God, you have power over life and death, and you challenge us to die to self, that we might have life. There is so much in me that needs to die O God, my selfishness, anger, and my impatience. Remove from me today the fear, anxieties and insecurities that prevent me from seeing you. Humble me today Father, that I may die to what the world says I should worry about, so that I am freed to become who I was created to be. May today be different from all the others days O God.

Gracious God, thanks for the many blessings which I have received from you, and so easily take for granted. You have blessed me with life O God, the greatest gift, and yet when troubles come, I find it easier to complain than to continue trusting in you. Strengthen me O God, that I may be as persistent in my faith as the Canaanite woman. May I be as bold in my relationship with you as Moses was, and yet as humble as Mary your Mother, that I may obtain the blessings that come with trusting you completely

Thank you O God for the gift of our freedom that allows us to choose whom and what to follow. Thanks for blessing us with our individual gifts and talents and for those who willingly choose to share those blessings with others. Thanks for all our local prophets: our musicians, parents, grandparents, teachers, friends and neighbors, who call us daily to be our better selves, and challenge us to live lives that reflect your presence. May we never take for granted these prophets in our midst O God, nor ignore your own call for us to be prophets ourselves.

Speak Lord, I’m listening. Plant your word deep within me today that I may bear fruit in abundance, and fruit that will last. Strengthen me that I may be able to resist the many temptations and distractions that threaten to choke the seeds of hope and faith that you sow in me. Help me today O God to root out the weeds of impatience and arrogance, and the thorns of resentment and hatred, that I may reap instead a harvest of love and compassion.

O God of the resurrection, so often we search for you in places where you are not to be found. So often we search for peace and happiness,for love and forgiveness, where they do not exist. Help us today to stop weeping at your tomb O God, and seek you instead where life is lived, amongst the poor and marginalized, amongst the excluded and the forgotten. May we recognize you O God in the faces of every member of our family, and amongst our friends and coworkers, that together we may proclaim your glory today, tomorrow, and forever.

Papa God, thanks for another day in the land of the living. Help me today to patiently and joyfully accept the hardships, adversities, and persecution which come my way in serving you and your kingdom of love, truth,and goodness. Strengthen my faith and give me courage that I may not shrink back from doing your will. And when my earthly journey is done O God, welcome me I pray, to the company of your saints.

Papa God you came to heal the sick, to give sight to the blind and hope to those without. To fulfill your plan, you chose the most unlikely candidates - simple, unlettered, but real men, sinners and tax collectors who were despised by society. Give us the grace today O God to recognize the giftedness of each other, to celebrate our differences, and humble us too, that we may accept that your plan for our lives involves all our brothers and sisters, both broken and yet truly blessed.

O God of the harvest, look with favor upon us, your children, as we enter this new day with which we have been gifted. There is so much work to be done O God, show us today what is your will for us. Humble us that we may utilize the gifts which you have given to us, not only for ourselves, but always in service to others and for your glory and honor. Father, may we, the laborers in your vineyard, find rest with you when our days are ended.

Thank you Jesus that you ate with tax collectors and sinners, that you came for the sick and not the righteous, that even in our brokenness and imperfection, you still have time for us, to love us, to forgive us, and to heal us. Teach us today to be slower to judgement on others O God, slower to identify faults, slower to write off those we consider less than. Instead, give us the patience to walk in the shoes of the outcast, in the minds of the forgotten, and in the hearts of the abandoned.
