The CCRI sports massage students persevered to serve this morning’s Save the Bay swimmers! The 2 mile swim began at 7 am after the initial check in was suspended at 5 am during thunderstorm activity- the Coast Guard finally gave the go-ahead & swimmers/kayakers had a safe window to go! The torrential downpour later was an appropriate finale!

A picture perfect day for the RI Special Olympics! This was a great experience for my CCRI Sports Massage students and the athletes were very grateful for our support!

A: Getting a massage!
My Sports Massage students had a great experience collaborating with the Dental Hygiene program at CCRI’s Flanagan campus this week for their community event. Participant athletes learned about the benefits of massage for recovery, injury prevention & stress reduction and the opportunity to experience massage firsthand! (Pun intended 😉)
