It’s World Kindness Day! Studies have shown that acts of kindness can improve happiness and a sense of engagement with life, reduce anxiety, symptoms, and increase a sense of social connectedness! Even cooler? Kindness can have a profound impact on not just the people on the receiving end or giving, but on people WITNESSING it!
There are so many different things that you can do on a small scale to spread kindness – from reducing the spread of germs by washing your hands, getting your flu shots, and staying home when you’re not feeling great, or practicing small acts of kindness like holding the door for someone, saying hello, or letting someone go ahead of you in line. You can always check in with your neighbors and see if they need help with something or donate to your local food shelf for pantry. The options are endless. How are you going to spread a little kindness today?
