Focusing on the importance of a flexed fetal tuck in that early phase of labor. We often talk about the de-flexed / extension of a sunny side up baby. A pendulous larger baby can be de-flexed even in an ideal fetal position however. Abdominal lift and tuck can help encourage and add flexion in early and even more active labor. Pay attention to pain in the p***c bone in early labor! This may be a sign that the babies head needs flexing.
