Job Title: Hearing Specialist Assistant
Report to: Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Hearing Specialist Assistant to support our licensed provider in delivering high quality hearing healthcare in our small private practice.
The role combines patient care support, clerical duties and technical support for hearing aid services.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care Support
• Greet patients and make them feel comfortable
• Establish rapport with patients
Clerical Duties
• Schedule appointments
• Manage patient flow
• Maintain electronic medical records in compliance with HIPPA
• Insurance verification
• Process payment
• Order & track hearing aid inventory
• Prepare hearing aid repairs for shipment
• Keep the office clean (vacuum weekly, clean restroom, dust furniture)
Technical Support
• Prepare exam rooms
• Assist with hearing aid fittings
• Assist with hearing cleaning
• Assist with programming of cell phones
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ year customer service experience
• Strong communication skills and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to walk unassisted, carry miscellaneous office supplies, and be physically able to travel between offices
Preferred:
• Experience in a medical, audiology or hearing aid office
Expectations:
• Full-time (32hrs Monday-Thursday)
• Will cover multiple offices weekly
• 90-day review period with performance review; annual reviews thereafter or as needed
