We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of pre-hospital care to our citizens and visitors. Catawba County Emergency Medical Services provides a full array of pre-hospital medical care including advanced life support, basic life support, specialty care transports, non-emergency transports, and supports a number of specialty teams. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of pre-hospital care to our citizens and visitors to our county. Catawba County EMS has been recognized for our services with several awards, including our most recent American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® EMS Gold Award. A division of Catawba County Emergency Services, Catawba County EMS works closely with local rescue squads, fire departments, hospitals, and other agencies within the county. Our ambulances are staffed with Paramedics, Advanced EMTs, and EMTs. Representatives of Catawba County Government communicate via this website. Consequently, any communication via this site is considered public (whether by a county employee or the general public) and may be subject to monitoring and disclosure to 3rd parties.

Recently, we sent five paramedics to the “EMS at Cherokee” conference sponsored by and hosted by Southwestern Community College.

Shannon Eckard was awarded a Beyond the Call of Duty Award. Shannon has been with EMS as an Advanced EMT for many years and is very good at his job.
