We recently had the pleasure of joining host Jay Dobek to record an episode of the One Big Boat podcast — a show that truly understands “we’re all in this together.” 💙

Dedicated to nonprofits, One Big Boat offers a much-needed space for changemakers to share their mission, challenges, and vision for the future. It’s a meaningful platform to highlight the impact we’re making in our communities, and we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity.

Thank you, Jay, for the thoughtful conversation — and for introducing us to Vegas, the very sweet pup making a special cameo in this photo. 🐾

Stay tuned! We’ll be sharing a link to listen soon.

It’s official — Mothers’ Milk Bank Northeast is headed to the TCS New York City Marathon for the very first time!

We’re so excited to be part of this iconic event and to raise awareness (and funds!) for the thousands of fragile infants who rely on our safe, nourishing donor milk each year.

What makes our debut even more special? Our team is made up of three powerhouse women in healthcare — including an incredible former milk donor!

We just mailed out their singlets and can’t wait to cheer them on as they rep Milky HQ this November!

Maya and her husband Michael learned they were expecting while out to dinner. After a long IVF journey, they just had a feeling—and they were too excited to wait. The moment those two pink lines appeared, they were over the moon. Together, they named their son right then and there: Nissim—Hebrew for “miracle.”

At 22 weeks, their little miracle, Teddy, came into the world weighing just over 1 lb. A fighter from the start, Teddy lived for 17 beautiful days in the NICU, wrapped in the love and care of his parents, grandparents, and a care team Maya says “are like family now.”

After his passing, Maya chose to donate her breast milk—a gift she created with Teddy—as a way to honor her son and help others. It became part of her healing.

“I want to do things that matter,” she told us. “And this matters.”

Now, during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, it feels especially fitting to share Maya’s story — one of profound love, loss, and strength . . .

"She’s done more than anyone could have expected. She’s a little trooper..."

Born weighing less than 1 lb, Eloise entered the world earlier than expected after her mom, Julia, was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia.

She spent five months in the NICU, growing stronger each day thanks to the dedication of her care team at Mass General Brigham for Children, innovative tools like the NTrainer, and the love of her family.

Eloise’s story is a powerful reminder of what it takes to help our littlest warriors thrive—expert care, cutting-edge science, and the kind of nourishment that gives fragile infants their very best start.

For so many NICU babies across the region, that includes safe, reliable donor milk.

So, to our amazing milk donors we say this: You may never meet the little ones you help, but you are absolutely part of their stories >> milkbankne.org/donate 💙

When you donate milk to an accredited non-profit milk bank like ours you help us feed both healthy and severely medically fragile newborns

Every , we honor the tiniest fighters, their families, and the incredible medical professionals who care for them.

As a nonprofit dedicated to providing safe donor human milk to babies in need—most of whom are cared for in the NICU—this time of year holds special meaning for us.

It’s a time to shed light on the realities of the experience and the quiet but powerful role donor milk plays in helping fragile infants grow, thrive, and survive.

Ever wondered how many meals just one ounce of donor milk can provide, how many NICUs depend on this vital resource, or what the longest NICU stay on record is? This post is for you 👉 https://tinyurl.com/5ewuwans

It’s not every day you meet someone as dedicated as Morgan.

From her work at , one of our incredible milk depots, to her support behind the scenes, she plays a key role in helping us get safe donor human milk to the babies who need it most.

Recently, Morgan nominated us to receive a generous $5,000 donation from her employer, , through their Crane Charitable Funds program. And if that weren’t impressive enough, she drove all the way from New Hampshire to hand-deliver the check!

Thank you, Morgan, Wellness Village, and Crane Currency, for helping us give more babies their best start.

A dietitian with a background in NICU care, Tara knows a lot about feeding babies. But when she became a mom, even she was surprised by how challenging breastfeeding could be. From latching issues to tandem feeding two little ones, her journey wasn’t easy.

And yet, Tara chose to donate her milk. Why? Well, there are lots of reasons.

Throughout her career, she’d seen how critical donor milk is for medically fragile babies. But for Tara, it wasn’t just about nutrition—it was about being part of something bigger: a community of care that supports whole families.

You see, Tara’s family has faced their own challenges—and behind that generous choice was a quiet determination to honor a beloved friend and sister-in-law, a mother whose own journey was far too short . . . 👉 https://tinyurl.com/2z4skapf

Despite her background, Tara was surprised by how difficult breastfeeding was. She's even reading a book called, when breastfeeding sucks
