What can boundaries look like postpartum? How do you manage holiday gatherings with a new baby?

Some examples:

🤩 “we have decided we don’t want our baby’s face or name on social media so please don’t post her picture without our permission.”

🎁 “Thank you so much but we won’t be able to attend this year due to our baby’s nap schedule / nighttime routine / winter germs”

👏 “I know she is so cute and you want to hold her but to keep her safe and comfy I’m going to hold her and not pass her around.”

🎥 “We won’t be joining this year since we aren’t ready to take our baby on an airplane, but we can’t wait to chat with you all over FaceTime!”

👏 Our favorite: “our pediatrician said…no kissing the baby / passing the baby / we can’t attend cuz…”

Today we gathered with our last cohort of postpartum moms because when the 6 weeks ended, they weren’t ready for the conversations to stop!

This week, we explored identity- who we were before baby, who we are becoming, and all the shifts in between.💜
