Harold “Bud” Lynn Preswood, born on August 25, 1947, in Banner Elk, North Carolina to the late Virgil Preswood and Snow Rupard Preswood. He passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 78. A hard-working individual, Harold was a resident of Newton, North Carolina.
Harold dedicated many years of his life working as a lineman for Duke Energy in the Newton area. He retired from the City of Newton Public Works Department as a lineman. Harold Lynn Preswood will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his work, and his community. Harold was a devoted member of Boone Advent Christ Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sandra Edwards Preswood for 30 years; sons, Matthew Preswood and wife Nora, Ricky Laws and wife Darlene, and Jody Laws and wife Nicole; sisters, Carol Knight and husband John, and Karen Fitch and husband Billy. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Chesney and husband Logan Geenen, Landon, Harper Preswood, Ricky Laws and wife Marie, Nicky Laws and wife Taylor, Haley Travis and husband Dylon, Madison Hefner and husband Kody, Eric Laws, and Kayle Laws; and great-grandchildren, Kyliegh, Malaci, and Nash Laws, Luke, and Eli Travis.
A private graveside will be held at a later date.

Shelley Andre Tribble, born on January 8, 1968, passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 57. A resident of Hickory, North Carolina, Shelley was known for his kind and generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucinda Robinson Tribble Williams; father, James Albert Tribble; stepmother, Betty Torrence Tribble; brothers, Antonio Tribble and Terry Tribble; and sisters, Angela Williams and Darlene Tribble.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, James Tribble, Kerry Tribble, Victor Torrence, Jonathan Torrence, Terry Webb, and Addrian Tribble; sisters, Vanedda Tribble Ervin, Tara Torrence Dawkins, and Mala Williams. Shelley is also survived by a special friend, Mark Fountain, his two fur babies, Kerry James and Jazzie, and along with a host of extended family and friends.

Shelley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A gathering to celebrate the life of Andre will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home at 2pm.

Dorothy Gail Bandy, aged 68, passed away on December 8, 2025. Born on June 22, 1957, Dorothy was a cherished resident of Claremont, North Carolina.
Dorothy was married for 30 years and 8 months to Marty Jerome Bandy. She was preceded in death by her parents, William James Carroll and Margaret Evettie Grant Carroll; her daughter, Billie Jo Spurlin; her great-grandson, Silas Irvin Hatcher; her brother, Roger Carroll, and her sister, Patricia Boyd.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Christy Flewelling and husband Fred, Kimberly Henry and husband Ramey, Deanna Braswell and husband Dion Connor, and Kesha Krieble and husband Michael. Dorothy is also survived by her brother, William James Carroll III and wife Marsha, and her sister, Pamela Beane and husband James. She was a beloved grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was an active member of her community and attended Calvary's Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton, NC, on December 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm at the same location. Burial will follow at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Claremont, NC.
Dorothy Gail Bandy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
