July's Contest had come to an end! ✨ Our staff had to guess how many High Chews were in the jar! We had THREE winners for first place- all three staff members guessing within 2 candies of the total! Matt guessed 71 and Nancy and Breanna guessed 75! The total number of high chews in the jar was 73! Great guesses everyone! Candy 🍬🍭

This past week we had to say goodbye to two of the most compassionate, kind, hard working and fun team members. 💗

Liz and Aliah- to say we will miss you here at Newton Vet is a huge understatement. You both have been a vital part of our team and watching you grow while under our roof has been a complete joy.

Liz has taken a spot in the Veterinary Medicine program at the University of Dublin and Aliah has taken a spot in the Veterinary Medicine program at the University of Bristol. We are all so proud of the journey you are about to begin- the veterinary world is so lucky to have you two! 🐾✨

The Bodega operates with no government funding, our doors stay open and our shelves stocked from donations given by our supporters!

Every month we are having a contest for staff! This month was to guess how many pom poms we're in the jar! 🟣🟢🔵🟡 We had two technicians who tied for first place! Both Liz and Maggie guessed that there were 172 pom poms in the jar- and there were 173! Great guesses everyone!

I guess it was Tweet-Tweet Tuesday this morning at Newton Veterinary Hospital! 🪶🪶🪶 This morning our staff heard a baby bird crying very loudly. We spotted him in our lobby up on a ledge near the ceiling. He was clearly in distress and kept crying. This poor baby ended up falling a few feet but luckily landed on a light fixture! The team rallied for this little guy- got him safely down from the light, called one of our wonderful regular clients who helps wildlife, and was able to land him a place at and get him there safely! When dropping off this little guy to start care, we were able to see some of the beautiful birds they are caring for!

A huge thank you to Wallkill Valley Troop 97931 for visiting our hospital today and taking a tour! These young ladies got to see the in's and out's of our hospital, including some cool X-rays, seeing our blood bank, meeting a wonderful emergency patient and so much more! 🐾💚 We had a wonderful time hosting you guys!

Jerry, Agnes and Stewart are frequent flyers in our Kitty Condos! 😺 You wouldn't guess it by Agnes' petite stature but Jerry and Stewart are her babies! These three give us so much joy when boarding here- every employee goes back into Kitty Condos to spend time with these wonderful cats! Do you have a vacation coming up and a kitty that needs some extra attention while away? Give us a call!
