Bristol Glen, a UMC Community

Bristol Glen, a UMC Community Bristol Glen is dedicated to compassionately serving older adults, so all are free to choose Abundant Life.

Abundant living at United Methodist Communities is guided by our team of associates who bring empathy and energy to their work, every day. Our associates share a special bond and connection with the people they serve and care for. We also believe that an abundant life should embrace the spiritual, emotional, physical and social aspects of one’s life. This focus on cultivating and nurturing the whole person translates to a meaningful and enjoyable lifestyle. Whatever you are passionate about is what we are passionate about. Life at United Methodist Communities is not the same-old, same old. An abundant life takes shape in so many ways: stretch your mind with amusing puzzles and games, hop on board as you take in an antique car show, see what’s cooking at a colorful culinary workshop, join a line dance to show off your moves. With a never-ending variety of activities and amenities you can rekindle those things you love and explore new pursuits. And best of all, you’ll have like-minded people to enjoy the memorable moments and engaging events you create at United Methodist Communities.

From the TEDxCape May stage at Cape May Convention Hall on October 5th, Mark Lenhard will propose a transformative shift in understanding what it means to “age successfully.”

Moving beyond the traditional quantitative markers of senior healthcare, Mark will emphasize the importance of qualitative aspects of quality of life. He will explore how both traditional and unexpected partners can collaborate with senior living providers to reframe aging as positive, natural experience. By taking a “hopeful contrarian” approach to questioning and re-examining traditional methods, this presentation will chart a course towards innovative practices that challenge stereotypes and create and environment where aspiration for life can continue at any age.

UMC continues to mourn the loss of Rev. Edward H. Carll, who served as a powerful voice for our organization, most recently as Chair of the UMC Board of Directors.

Many of our teammates, including our senior leadership team and UMC President & CEO Mark Lenhard were honored to attend a service in his memory this past Friday at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, where so many came together to celebrate Ed's life and impact.

With over a decade of service to both UMC and the UMCF, Ed’s wisdom, humor, and generosity touched countless lives and inspired all of us to work together in service of others. Our thoughts are with his wife, Gabriele, and their son, Christopher, during this difficult time

Although we feel his absence deeply, Ed’s legacy of kindness, leadership, and bringing people together will continue to guide and inspire all of us.

This past Friday, many UMC and UMCF teammates, board members, and several residents gathered at Haddonfield United Methodist Church to celebrate the life and impact of our dear friend, Rev.… Continue reading Honoring the Life and Legacy of Rev. Edward H. Carll

Last week, our residents and teammates enjoyed a fabulous high tea and a spectacular musical performance! Everyone savored finger sandwiches, scones, jams, and sweet treats while our friend Nadia filled the room with her beautiful violin music.

We’d like to thank Nadia for sharing her special talent, our Dining Service and Community life teammates for helping make the event such a success, and the wonderful resident who connected us with such a gifted musician.
