It was a lively time in the Romano Center at Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center recently as Auxiliary members and foundation supporters gathered to celebrate 90 years since the Auxiliary of Newton Medical Center was founded!

The Newton Medical Center Foundation sincerely thanks all Newton Medical Center Auxiliary members - past and present - for making such a positive difference to Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center and healthcare in this community.

Through the many campaigns, projects, and events they have helped fund at Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center, the Auxiliary has set an impressive example of generosity and service, and we thank them for all they continue to do!

The Newton Medical Center Foundation Board invites you to join in celebrating the Auxiliary of Newton Medical Center’s 90 years of volunteer service and fundraising for Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center! Friends of the Auxiliary and hospital leaders will gather in the Romano Center on the campus of Newton Medical Center on Thursday, September 25 at 5pm for a celebration dinner and program. The cost to attend is $45 per person and sponsorships are available. Reservations can be made by calling the Foundation at 973-579-8309.

Through revenue from various fundraising events through the years, the Auxiliary of Newton Medical Center has contributed over $7 million to support various Foundation-funded projects at Newton Medical Center, including recent renovations in the Intensive Care Unit, the Maternity Unit and the Behavioral Health section of the Emergency Department; an upgrade of the 1 Hussey Cardiac Telemetry Unit; a 2017 transformation of the Emergency Department; and an upgrade of the Charles L. Tice Heart Center’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab for the STEMI Program.
We thank the Auxiliary of Newton Medical Center for their stellar example of generosity and volunteerism – all for the benefit of Newton Medical Center and our patients!

Atlantic Health's Newton Medical Center has officially opened its newly renovated maternity unit with a ribbon cutting, completing a project designed to improve comfort and care for mothers and babies in Sussex and Warren Counties. 🤱

🏥The upgraded unit features 17 private maternity suites, complete with sleeping couches, quiet workspaces, lounge chairs, and more — all designed to better support families, visitors, and partners.

Supported by the Newton Medical Center Foundation as part of a broader $3.5 million investment, the renovation marks a significant milestone in the hospital's ongoing efforts to enhance patient experience and clinical excellence. The maternity unit renovation marks the final phase of the Foundation’s Your Care, Our Future campaign, which funded three key facility projects, also including the renovation and redesign of the Behavioral Health Patient Unit in the Emergency Department and a newly designed and enhanced Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Atlantic Health System's Hackettstown and Newton Medical Centers thank our incredible community partner, Hackettstown-based Mars, Incorporated, for their generous donation of multiple cases of M&M’s Peanut Chocolate Candies in honor of Nurses’ Week at both hospitals! Mars Wrigley Site Director Michal Riha and associate Jennifer Bongiovanni personally delivered the pallet of sweet treats and took time to thank the nurses gathered for all they do to care for patients each and every day.
